KVS Admission 2024-25: Started Online for Class 1 to 12
The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has released the notification of the online application process for admissions to Classes 1 to 12 for the academic session 2024-25. Class 1 Student must have attained a minimum age of six years as of 31 March 2024.

KVS Class 2 to 9 Admission 2024
- For Classes 2 to 9: The student must have completed their previous class from a govt approved school/ institute.
- Proof of Residence: Candidates need to verify the child’s vicinity to the Kendriya Vidyalaya.
- Priority in Admissions: Children of transferable Central Government employees, defence personnel, and special categories (SC/ST/OBC) have priority.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission Age Limit 2024-25
The required age limit class 1 to 12 for admission in KVS is described below:
- Class I: 06 years but less than 8 years of age as of March 31, 2024. (Note: Children born on 1st April should also be considered.)
- Class II: 7 years but less than 9 years of age.
- Class III: 8 years but less than 10 years of age.
- Class IV: 9 years but less than 11 years of age.
- Class V: 10 years but less than 12 years of age.
- Class VI: 11 years but less than 13 years of age.
- Class VII: 12 years but less than 14 years of age.
- Class VIII: 13 years but less than 15 years of age.
- Class IX: 14 years but less than 16 years of age.
- Class X: Admission to Class X is subject to the student completing Class IX from a recognized school.

KVS Admission Selection Process
- For Class I – The Online Registration and Lottery System for seat allocation. Reservations: RTE (25%), SC (15%), ST (7.5%), OBC-NCL (27%), and CwSN (3%).
- For Classes II to VIII – Admission to class II to VIII is based on the Priority Category without an admission test, subject to seat availability.
- For Class IX – KVS will conduct the Admission Test in five subjects (Hindi, English, Maths, Social Science, Science). Admission is granted based on a Merit List and Priority Categories.
- Class XI – Merit-Based on Class 10th marks. Stream Allocation based on marks and seat availability. The Non-KV Students will also get a chance of admission based on vacant seats, further follow the same merit criteria.
